FOR HANDICAPPED
RECOVERING FROM SEXUAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE

Being a survivor is arduous, and haunts people daily, in many invisible ways that others have a hard time understanding.  In your life, do you have:
  • flashbacks,
  • panic attacks,
  • dissociative periods,
  • terror in contact with people or in being alone,
  • fear of going outdoors,
  • find that you are cutting yourself or feeling suicidal
  • feeling disorganized, crazy, or out of control,
  • mistrust of others,
  •  difficulty maintaining relationships,
  • isolation and depression,
  • dissociative experiences,
  • severe sleep problems,
  • mood swings or irritable mood,
  • difficulty being alone,
  • wanting a partner but unable to sort it out,
  • alcohol and tobacco abuse,
  • chronic fatigue or TMJ dysfunction,
  •  problematic work situations?
If you do suffer from these kinds of problems, please call for an interview appointment.  I have worked with many clients with  trauma-based therapies , and I know this is really tough territory to resolve.  Not easy.  Kindness and experience is essential and I can promise you both.  Contending with trauma necessitates deep SAFETY and GENTLENESS.
It also requires courage, often to enter into uncharted areas with non-verbal approaches such as EMDR, psychodrama, Gestalt therapy, somatic experiencing trance work, Neo-Reichian breath therapy, family systems, expressive arts.  Whatever uncovering work we do, you can be assured that when you leave the session you will be in an okay state and not leave in a distressed, non-functional state.
If you have multiple parts in your internal experience, we will address each of them to help integration.
